Travel EasedUAE Rates: Another Fed Hike Expected
The US Federal Reserve raised rates in September to 3.75–4.00%, and Goldman Sachs expects another 0.25% hike in October. The UAE base rate (3.90%) usually follows the Fed because of the dirham’s peg. Three-month EIBOR was 4.22% at its last reading on 2 October. Finance guide →

→ Start as a First-Time BuyerReady vs Off-Plan — The Value Has Shifted
Off-plan still leads on the number of sales. Ready homes now lead on value.
Ready homes made up 36.2% of sales but 50.7% of value. That gap tells you buyers are paying a premium for completed homes: properties that can be rented out, mortgaged and inspected today.
The trend has built for three weeks, with ready homes’ value share at 42.3%, then 46.2%, then 50.7%. For Australians who want rental income from the first month, this is where Dubai’s demand is moving.
The data says ready. Your goals might say otherwise. Let’s work out which fits.
Ready homes earn rent now. Off-plan can mean lower entry prices and payment plans. Our Dubai agent will walk you through both, honestly, based on your budget and timeline.

Three Moves for Australian Buyers
Plan an Inspection Trip While Travel Advice Is Eased
With the UAE at Level 2, viewing in person is practical again. Shortlist communities before you fly, group viewings by area, and check your insurer’s terms. Advice levels can change quickly, so keep a remote-purchase option (power of attorney) as a backup. Buying guide →
Focus on Ready Homes With Proven Rental Demand
Ready homes now carry more than half of Dubai’s sales value. Look for completed units in established communities with a track record of tenant demand, and compare achieved rents rather than asking rents, since rents have softened this year. ROI guide →
Get UAE Finance Quotes Before the Fed’s Late-October Meeting
If the Fed hikes again, UAE rates are likely to follow. Fixed-rate quotes obtained now may hold for a period, so compare two or three banks before the decision. Finance guide →
The 10-Year Visa — Priced in AUD
A 10-year UAE residency for about A$780,000 in property
The property route requires AED 2 million in DLD-certified value, and mortgaged properties qualify. With the AUD recovering to 0.6985, the threshold costs about A$5,000 less than last week. With travel advice now at Level 2, visa appointments in Dubai are easier to plan. Visa rules →
